I'm a big fan of Melissa and Doug toys. I can stare at their website for hours browsing through their great variety of well-designed, educational toys such as trains, doll houses, music instruments, puzzles and much more.

The start-up story goes - Friends Melissa and Doug, now husband and wife, started their toy company in the garage of Doug's childhood home.

I recently purchased their "Band-in-a-Box" musical instrument set, which includes, a tambourine, cymbals, maracas, a clacker, tone blocks and a triangle.
